Full Circle (aka The Haunting of Julia) is a 1977 horror film directed by Richard Loncraine. Based on the novel Julia by Peter Straub, it represents the first film realization of one of his books. In this movie, a woman fleeing an unhappy marriage and the death of her daughter is haunted by the ghost of a vengeful little girl.
Her sister-in-law Lily asks if her friends can use her house to conduct a seance. The medium, Mrs. Fludd, explains that spirits need to control someone to carry out physical acts. During the seance, she tells Julia to leave the house immediately. Moments later, one of Lily's friends, Miss Pinner, falls down the stairs...

...While Juila is out, Magnus breaks into her house to find her. The heater is on full blast. He sees something out of the corner of his eye and follows it to the basement, but is killed after falling from the staircase.
A neighbor tells Julia the house once belonged to Heather Rudge, who moved away after her daughter choked to death. Julia visits Mrs. Fludd, who has taken ill since the seance. She tells the medium she is convinced her house is possessed by Kate's spirit, but the medium tells her she saw a little boy in the park, bleeding to death. When Julia finds an article about a boy, Geoffery Braden, murdered in the park, she visits Greta, Geoffrey's mother. She tells her a vagrant was executed for the crime, but that children murdered her son. She says she and her companion have been watching the children, now grown, and asks her to visit the remaining two, Captain Paul Winter and David Swift. Winter dismisses her after she says she's been to see Mrs. Braden. Outside she sees Miss Pinner, who denies seeing anything frightening in the house...
..Julia next visits Swift, an alcoholic, who admits that Olivia had power over him and the other children. She made them each kill an animal, then made them murder Geoffrey. He says he told only Heather Rudge...
...That night, as she sleeps, a child's hand caresses Julia's face and holds her hand. She awakes and breaks some glass. At that moment Swift, walking down the stairs, slips on a broken bottle and falls over the railing, dying.
Julia tells her friend, Mark (Tom Conti) what she has discovered, but he doesn't believe her. That evening, her heater won't turn off. She tries to unplug it and shocks herself as Mark is killed by electrocution when a lamp falls into his bath. Julia visits Mrs. Rudge in a psychiatric home. She says she killed Olivia after she learned about the murder, and that Olivia's spirit killed Katie. As Julia leaves, Mrs. Rudge dies of a heart attack...

...At home, Julia sees Olivia in the bathroom mirror, then in the living room on the floor playing with the clown toy. She takes it from her, offers her a hug and asks her to stay with her. The scene fades and we hear the toy fall. Julia comes back into view, bleeding to death from cuts on her neck, seemingly made by the sharp cymbals...

Julia (novel)
Julia is a 1975 novel by Peter Straub. It was the author's third novel, but the second to be published (his second book, Under Venus, would not be released until 1984). Julia is notable among Straub's bibliography because it is his first novel to deal with the supernatural. It was published by Coward, McCann & Geoghehgan. It was adapted into the 1977 film The Haunting of Julia starring Mia Farrow; the film is also sometimes known as Full Circle.

Mia Farrow was born Maria de Lourdes Villiers Farrow on February 9, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. She's an American actress, singer, humanitarian, and former fashion model. Farrow is also known for her extensive humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She is involved in humanitarian activities in Darfur, Chad, and the Central African Republic. In 2008, Time magazine named her one of the most influential people in the world.
Farrow was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Australian film director John Farrow and Irish actress Maureen O'Sullivan. She was raised Roman Catholic. Her sisters are Prudence and actresses Stephanie and Tisa. She has three brothers: Michael Damien (1939–1958), Patrick Joseph (1942–2009) and John Charles (born 1946).
She grew up in Beverly Hills, California, and often traveled with her parents as they worked on films that were produced on location. She made her film debut in a 1947 short subject with her mother; the short was about famous mothers and their children modelling the latest fashions for families. When she was nine she came down with polio but eventually recovered.
Farrow dated actor-director Woody Allen from 1980 to 1992 and appeared in twelve of his thirteen films over that period, most notably Zelig (1983), The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), Radio Days (1987), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), Alice (1990) and Husbands and Wives (1992). Her more recent film roles include Widows' Peak (1994), The Omen (2006), Be Kind Rewind (2008), Dark Horse (2011) and Luc Besson's Arthur series (2006–2010).
Farrow has appeared in more than 50 films and won numerous awards, including a Golden Globe award, received seven additional Golden Globe nominations, three BAFTA nominations and a best actress award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Farrow has been a high profile advocate for children's rights, working to raise funds and awareness for children in conflict-affected regions, predominantly in Africa. She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and has worked extensively to draw attention to the fight to eradicate polio, which she survived as a child. She has traveled to Darfur three times to advocate for Darfuri refuges. She traveled there in November 2004 and June 2006, joining her son Ronan Farrow, who has also worked for UNICEF in Sudan. Farrow visited 2006 Berlin to be part of a charity auction of United Buddy Bears, which feature designs by artists representing 142 U.N. member states.
